We are committed to protecting your personal privacy while providing cutting-edge agricultural computer vision and produce quality inspection tools. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect when you use our mobile application or web utility, how it is processed, and the rights you retain over your information.
2. Information We Collect and Process
- Camera and Photo Library Access: To identify fruits and vegetables, calculate freshness scores, isolate 2D bounding boxes, and assess defects, our app requests permission to access your device camera or selected photo album. We do not extract facial, biometric, or ambient background identifiable data from these images.
- Account & Authentication Information: If you voluntarily create an account using Google Firebase Authentication, we store your authenticated email address, display name, and profile photo avatar to sync your scan aggregates across devices. If you use the app as a Guest, all scan data resides exclusively within your local device storage.
- Scan Logs and Telemetry: Records of analyzed produce items (cultivar name, freshness tier, detected defects, and analysis timestamps) are saved locally and synced to your private profile if signed in.
- Diagnostic Technical Data: Standard technical information such as device model, operating system version, and anonymous crash reports may be collected solely to diagnose bugs and improve app stability.

We utilize collected data strictly for the following operational purposes:
- Performing visual crop quality analysis and defect segmentation.
- Maintaining your personalized scan history and aggregate statistics.

In accordance with Apple App Store policies and international data privacy regulations (including GDPR and CCPA):
- Local Data Purge: You can clear your local device scan history directly at any time through the app interface.
- Account and Cloud Record Erasure: You have the right to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud records. To do so, simply email our support team at krishimandi@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” from your registered email address. We will verify and permanently delete your records within 48 business hours.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
KrishiMandi Freshness Detection is designed for general agricultural, retail, and household use and does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to our servers, please notify us at krishimandi@gmail.com so we can promptly delete it.
